Spark Recovery is a community of therapists, medical providers, and staff driven by their desire to assist clients in achieving results toward a sustainable recovery. Our focus is on treating the whole person, giving equal emphasis to mental, emotional and physical wellness. We will walk beside each client through every step of their journey as they work toward reaching and maintaining recovery.

Annette Kreider
CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Annette Kreider, MSW, LCSW is our Clinical Director at Spark Recovery. She has a Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University-Purdue at Indianapolis. She also has a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Purdue University. She has many years of experience as Director of Clinical Services and program development in the areas of Substance Use, Dual Diagnosis and other Mental Health issues.
Working with those suffering from substance use disorders is a tremendous passion of hers. Her personal and professional journey have given her more insight and motivation to help restore hope for those fighting this disease. Her goals as Clinical Director are centered around delivering an outstanding client experience. This will focus on ensuring excellent clinical care, and providing a commitment to clients and their families in getting the necessary services and support for a successful transition to a healthy lifestyle.

Angela Elder
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Angela Elder is our Director of Business Development at Spark Recovery. Angela has her Master’s degree from IUPUI in Social Work, with a focus in mental health and addiction treatment. She has nearly 10 years of experience working in the healthcare field with substance use, mental health and healthcare admissions. Angela is driven by her strong passion for helping those in need and meeting individuals where they are to align them with appropriate services.

Vicki Burdine
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
While in her role at IDOC, she continued providing direct care services where she aided those suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Dr. Burdine currently serves as Chief Medical Officer to a large behavioral health hospital where she has assisted with program development, providing key leadership to all clinical departments, and delivering direct care services to a vast array of populations including those suffering from substance use and cooccurring disorders. Dr. Burdine has a Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She served her residency in Psychiatry at Indiana University in Indianapolis and specialized in Geriatric Psychiatry at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Burdine is also a member of the American Association of Physician Leadership, American Academy of Clinical Psychiatrists, American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry and Academy of Correctional Health Professionals.

Asia Atkinson
Nurse practitioner
Asia is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has a natural ability to connect with patients and is highly skilled at using evidence-based practice (EBP) and clinical experience to assist patients in achieving mental wellness. Asia specializes in pharmacological interventions and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for a range of substance use disorders (SUDs), serious mental illnesses (SMIs), and dual diagnoses. She is truly passionate about providing patient-centered care and creating a partnership with her patients to help achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves.
